I thought it would be nice to start painting some smaller canvas boards with the possibility of hanging in a group. So these are the beginnings of what I will be painting for a while. All kinds of subject matter is jumping into my head, birds,butterflies,dragonflies,flowers...... it must be spring. These are all canvas boards 6x8in

I had one last piece of plywood left from painting my Yoga Bear painting and I felt I needed a Moose to round out this years indoor/outdoor paintings. Here he is in all his glory.....so Muskoka. Indoor/Outdoor on plywood. 36x48in *SOLD* I enjoyed painting this one so much. I have a cold right now and I felt better having something fun to paint. The spring weather has arrived in high fashion and I'm getting all my indoor/outdoor paintings ready to display in the greenhouse. This one will be added to the collection as soon as I give it three coats of exterior varathane.  Indoor Outdoor on Plywood 48x60in *SOLD* I started this painting last summer and finally felt like finishing. I do not like to push myself through a painting if it does not feel right. That takes all the enjoyment out of it. So sometimes a painting might sit around for a while before the mood is right.  Acrylic on Deep Canvas 12x16in I made these paintings for my closest friend of 45 years and her siblings. Last week they lost their mom. Denise looked after her mom at home right up to the end which was sooner than anyone thought. These are painted on canvas 6x6in. |
