These little Canvas Boards are 4x4in.
As a break from painting a larger canvas I painted my smallest canvas boards with a small series of very loosly painted apricot roses. I love this colour of flowers there is so many different tones and colours to be found in them. These little Canvas Boards are 4x4in.

I painted this one in the summer as a gift for a dear friend of ours, Mary. She decided she had enough of Ontario winters and moved B.C. Mary always brought us the best banana bread and quite frankly the best chocolate chip cookies too. Not that anyone in our household needed any baked goods, we still happily gobbled them up anyways.
I have been working on this painting for a couple of weeks on and off. We just adopted a puppy and wow is he a hand full. I have always been a cat person but due to allergies I decided on a puppy instead so that I might still be able to breath.
Our boy, Teddy, is starting to learn to relax under the easel while I paint, at least for a couple of hours a day....thank heavens. I enjoy it when a painting just seems to go in a completely different direction then what I had originally planned when I first put paint to canvas. It keeps things interesting.
The photo that this painting is based on was taken by Moyan Brenn. We have just returned from a wonderful vacation in Sanibel Island Florida. I decided to not take my paints with me as I would likely splash paint everywhere in our condo rental. Since I have not painted in almost a month I decided to work on some small canvas boards to blow off the cobwebs from my paints. The sizes are 6x8 and 6x6.
