I painted this one at the start of the summer to brighten up our patio area. We no longer have a huge blank wall facing us when we sit for a break in the afternoon. Our patio has large pots full of different hostas and ferns, its a leafy space.
There was a tv series that ran from the mid 80's till early 90's, Golden girls......the story was set in Florida with a house full of ladies living out their golden years. They had bold tropical paper on the walls with flowers and palm leaves. Thats what this space reminds me of, a warm memory of a tropical location where you can relax and share a laugh.
