Grizz

A friend suggested that I paint a bear. She had seen a terrible video where a bear was being killed. Very upsetting. I do not begin to have any answers to all the problems of people and animals coexisting on a planet with ever diminishing land .
I feel all life has value and a right to exist. Although we may be at the top of the food chain at this point in time, any unnecessary cruelty to animals or our fellow man, just brings down our collective worth and is a very sad, sad thing. I have a healthy fear of bears and I'm always on watch when we walk through our fields. We spot black bears every year grazing on grass in these fields and I intend on giving them the distance and respect they deserve.
